The Pub has both very strong ladies and
gents dart teams.
Pentanque is played regularly by an in house
team. The play area is freely available at all other times and is flood
lit for the darker evenings.

Pool tournaments are regularly played in the pool
bar.
The Vale Tavern generously support The
Southern Sorcerers a local group of magicians who can regularly be found at
the pub. In the summer months they perform and rehearse in the beer
garden. Sometimes even Obleo The Magic Circle
Young Magician of the Year can be seen in here.
Television film crews have also been known to use the large
garden for filming of reality shows. It is also an ideal size for wedding
receptions and large garden parties.
